Michael Zaporzan is the owner of JETZ Aviation Ltd. in Winnipeg, Canada. JETZ provides aircraft services to company executives both in the corporate and business aviation industries. They provide services in acquisition, appraisals, dealer services, consulting, management and leadership. Michael and his team provide the needed training and maintenance for aircrafts as well as essential crew staffing.
Michael has been passionate about flying since he was 16 years old, when he got his Private Pilot’s license. Growing up, his older brother acquired a Private Pilot’s license and so Michael was inspired to do so after his first airplane trips. Although he enjoyed the unmatched freedom that came with flying, Michael is still very interested in cars and motorcycles. When he was in high school, Michael had a 1948 Chevy hot rod that he would work on. Being a licensed pilot at the time also meant that Michael could drive his car or motorcycle to the airport and go for a flight. Currently, he is riding a Triumph Thruxton motorcycle and is a fan of Volvo when it comes to cars. Over the years, he has owned around 12 different Volvo models.
Michael Zaporzan is also a huge sports fan. From a young age, Michael enjoyed playing competitive sports. He excelled in both hockey and football, and enjoys downhill skiing, water skiing, and wakeboarding with his family. Two of his favorite hockey players were Mark Messier, and Wayne Gretzky who is generally considered to be the greatest player in the sport. He has been a long time fan of the New York Islanders hockey team, but became a fan of the Winnipeg Jets after their return to Canada in 2011. The Jets had been moved from Canada in mid 1990s, moving to Atlanta, GA. After their return, Michael is a proud season tickets holder and enjoys going to games with his family.
